Geocache Description:

Yet another ammo box hidden in the woods

This cache is the second in a series of go caches, which has started with The Ancient Game of Go in New York. Go is a 4,000 years old board game, it is believed to be the oldest and best board game in the world. It was invented in China, and now is widely played there, and in Korea and Japan. It is becoming more and more popular in America and the rest of the world.

The game is a strategy game, like chess, but unlike chess, it starts with a totally empty board. The board has 19 x 19 lines on it, and black and white stones are placed on the intersections of the lines. The rules of go are extremely simple, but the game is incredibly complex. Computers have been able to beat any human chess player since 1997 (Deep Blue versus Garry Kasparov), but the best go programs out there can easily be defeated by any strong amateur player. This is not because people have not been trying to make go playing computer programs.

This cache is hidden on Moose Mountain, parking can be found at N 43 42.242, W072 09.844. Please do not block the gate. The cache contains the usual assortment of swag, and some more information on the game of go. The cache contains my 7yo's very first travel bug, The Braves.
